Fiona Degning

Hello! I am Fiona, a stage and screen actor based in East Anglia. As a creative practitioner, I have a keen eye to empower women and represent neurodiverse individuals throughout my work and performances.

 

I am a recent graduate from Norwich University of the Arts’ BA Acting programme, where, by earning a First Class degree, I have become well versed in clowning, voice acting and animal work, along with film and stage knowledge and presence.

During my dissertation, I dived into Stanislavski’s System, developing my understanding of how the Super Objective technique affects actors at an unconscious level. I researched ways in which actors may be harmed when altering their unconscious minds to act effectively and how long term negative implications can be reduced to protect actors.

Along with Stanislavski’s work, I have greatly studied the work of Meisner, Lecoq and Leban, to name a few, from which I have been able to create a personal toolkit for acting, using a combination of their methods to portray characters most authentically.
